At the heart of The Village
Brenda McNally

AS it's name indicates, The Village at Rathborne is a unique self-contained mix of apartments, penthouses and amenities centred around three buildings ideally located off the Navan Road, close to the city centre and the M50. A very popular development with first-time buyers, one of Rathborne's biggest attractions is its proximity to the Ashtown rail station.

Agents Hamilton Osborne King are now launching the final units at the development which will be completed late 2006. Consisting of only 20 one, two and three-bed apartments and three-bed penthouses, many of these apartments have spectacular views over the Royal Canal and sunny south facing balconies and terraces.

Situated in an area of north-west Dublin currently undergoing extensive development, the entrance to The Village is at The Halfway House, adjacent to the Phoenix Park Race Course scheme. Built by Castlethorn Construction, these units offer spacious accommodation in a unique living environment which has an amazing mix of large apartments and penthouses alongside shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants. Twobed units have 69sq m to 100sq m (748sq ft to 1076sq ft) and are from 410,000 and three-bed penthouses with 88sq m to 112sq m (955sq ft to 1205 sqft) are priced from 500,000.

Standard features include integrated appliances in the contemporary-styled kitchen, balconies with timber decking, partial tiling in the bathroom, an en-suite bathroom in the two and three-bed units, and fitted wardrobes in all bedrooms.

Other features include integrated electrical appliances, a communal washer/dryer which will be located in a storage room off the hall, and one underground car parking space included in price Nestled between the Royal Canal and the River Tolka, The Village will enjoy walkways along the canal and panoramic views over Dublin city. A new quality landscaped five-acre park with a direct link to the Tow Path . . . alongside the canal . . . will be developed in the heart of Rathborne.

Price: two-beds from 410,000; three-beds and penthouses from 500,000 Agent: Hamilton Osborne King 01-618 1300
