ONan excellent afternoon for running rugby Dungannon ran out worthy winners against Dolphin, scoring four tries to nil in what turned out to be entertaining encounter.
The visitors from Cork opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a Barry Keeshan penalty but the home side struck back with a well-worked move in the 12th minute which was executed with precision down the blind side by flanker Oisin Hennessy and he crossed the whitewash in the right corner for an unconverted try.
In the 21st minute tight head prop Declan Fitzpatrick smashed his way over beside the posts for their second try which Larkin converted. The third Dungannon try followed a similar pattern with the home pack driving forward, and this time Ryan Caldwell carried the ball over.
Dolphin managed to add to their tally in the 39th minute with another Keeshan penalty goal to leave the score at half-time 17-6.
Two further penalties from Keeshan reduced the gap to just five points in the 64th minute, but Larkin gave his side some breathing space minutes later with a penalty.
In the 70th minute fullback Richard McCarter secured the bonus point when he finished off a sweeping move to score in the corner, man of the match Larkin added the extras.
