Blackrock edge out entertaining fare
Stradbrook

AIB LEAGUE DIVISION ONE BLACKROCK 31 TERENURE 19

BLACKROCK recorded their second win of the current AIL season when they defeated Terenure College at Stradbrook yesterday.

Blackrock opened the scoring after four minutes when Fionn Carr posted a penalty.

Three minutes later Terenure struck for their first try when Derek Hegarty went over, converted by Adam Hughes.

Blackrock struck back quickly with Carr touching down and adding the points. A further try from winger David Rowan left it 17-7 at half time.

Five minutes after the break Blackrock crossed again through Andy O'Neill. While Graham Crawford struck back quickly for Terenure, Des Dillon matched that score to make the game safe.
