GROWTH in demand for broadband internet remains strong, according to half-year figures released by BT Ireland, which show the company is signing over 1,000 new customers every week.
BT Ireland now has 48,000 broadband customers. Some 13,000 of those have signed up for its internet service over the last three months since the company launched a cut-price broadband product including free telephone calls. The company reported half-year results last week showing a 17% rise in revenue to 220m and a 17% rise in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) to 14m. BT
