GOLF: HSBC CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT RETIEF GOOSEN does not believe Tiger Woods is his toughest opponent in the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai. Goosen carded a three-under-par 69 to go into the final day top of the leaderboard at 12-under, 204 overall. The crowd at the Sheshan International Golf Club had expected to see world number one Woods continue his impressive return to form - he shot a course record-equalling 64 yesterday - but they were disappointed.
A poor third day for Woods left him five shots off the lead and him with a big task ahead if he is to challenge Goosen.
However the South Africa is more worried about first and second round leader, Jyoti Randhawa, and Korean Yang Yong-Eun, who produced the best round of the day, a five-under 67, to climb the leaderboard to second.
"There are a lot of other guys I have to worry about other than Tiger, " said Goosen. Obviously Tiger is always a guy you're going to have to worry about, that he is going to come up and shoot a good round. But Yang is playing very well and Joyti is playing well, so those are the two guys I have to really keep my eye on."
Meanwhile, Marc Warren remains in contention after he hit a two-under 70 and is three shots off Goosen. And the Scot admits he is proud of what he has achieved already, whatever happens in the final round. "For me, only a year into my European Tour career, this is a massive tournament and I am proud.
Also in contention is England's Paul Casey, who carded a four-under 68 while Padraig Harrington undid his early good work with a triple bogey on the 18th that meant he carded a one-over 73 and is tied at eighth.
