THERE are six months to go but voters around the country have been getting plenty of election literature from candidates eager to make an impression. In Dublin South East, Fianna Fail candidate Jim O'Callaghan ignores no section of the community in his latest newsletter which includes a team photograph from when the barrister played rugby with Leinster. "It's a bit text-heavy, " one seasoned opposition member admitted of the leaflet in which O'Callaghan calls for weekend voting, a minister for older citizens and an anti-burglary scheme. He might be a newcomer but already he has perfected the Fianna Fail act of being in government and in opposition at the same time.
