The golfers of Kilcock, having bought their golf course in 1999, are in progressive mode once more with an ambitious five-year development plan just approved. Their main focus is on the course, a late Eddie Hackett masterpiece, which is to have a state of the art irrigation system installed to tees and greens.
Club manager Seamus Kelly, previously of Ardee, gives the good news that the club is again open for new members at the bargain level of 6,500 to include next year's annual subscription. The AGM took place this week and elected David Kearns and Alice Cronin as captains for a year which will see the club host the regional final of the Pierce Purcell Shield.
