AUSTRALIA RUN GREAT BRITAIN RAGGED



Great Britain's rugby league TriNations hopes were dashed in Brisbane yesterday as a Darren Lockyer-inspired Australia secured a comfortable 33-10 win. Early tries from Justin Hodges and Mark Gasnier made it an uphill task for the Lions, who needed a win or a draw to reach the final in Sydney next Saturday.

Danny McGuire briefly narrowed the gap but further tries from Karmichael Hunt, Lockyer, Anthony Tupou and Brent Tate gave the scoreline an added gloss from a home perspective.
