ANTHONY STOKES continued his devastating form for Falkirk in the Scottish PremierLeague, scoring their only goal in a 2-1 defeat away to Kilmarnock. Having only been selected for the Ireland B squad during the week despite netting eight times in three games, many were questioning Steve Staunton's treatment of the player, currently on loan from Arsenal.
And while this strike kept him top of the scoring charts, it added to the pressure on Staunton to call the 18-yearold into the full set up.
There was also good news for Stephen Elliot as he doubled his tally for the season, scoring twice in Sunderland's 3-1 win against Colchester at the Stadium of Light. Having not scored since 13 September, the goals couldn't have come at a better time for Roy Keane's struggling outfit as they ended a run of three games without a win. David Connolly was also on target, scoring his first goal since his move from Wigan.
