AT THE start of the month the glitterati of the international property world gathered in London for the annual International Property Awards, one of the biggest award ceremonies on the property calendar.
This year, the proceedings have a decisively Caribbean feel with the Prickly Bay Waterside development in Grenada winning 'Best International Development', the Punta Perla Golf Marina & Spa Resort in the Dominican Republic winning 'Best International Marina Development' and Le Paradis in St Lucia winning 'Best International Gold Development'.
The award for 'Best International Real Estate Agency' also stayed the other side of the Atlantic and was won by Michael Saunders & Company in the US, while closer to home Spain took home the 'Best International Property' for Amiri Developments' Ramiro el Monje.
Flying the Irish flag were Meath-based overseas agency Ann Collins Property, winning two awards for its properties in Canada and South Carolina and Mary McGovern PR which was awarded in the PR category.
