www.SmallBizPod.co. uk . . . .
It's a UK podcast that does what it says on the tin, punching well above its weight in terms of guests with advice for entrepreneurs and small business people from around the world. Of the 320,000 businesses in Ireland, up to 90% of them fall into the small business category, but because most of them don't aspire to be traded on the stock exchange, their stories have a tougher time getting attention. Maybe this UKbased podcast might spark some Irish versions but, for now, Smallbizpod is still relevant and has a good track record since it launched in May.
Smallbizpod features gutsy success stories from CEOs and advice for SMEs in a 30-minute format. We have wondered why business podcasting hasn't taken off here . . . but then we'd have to think about broadband in Ireland and that would upset people.
