STEVEN Georgiou, Cat Stevens, Yusuf Islam and now just plain Yusuf (maybe he might sell more records in the US) . . . the arch hippy is back to his preachy best. His first pop record since converting to Islam in the late 1970s, 'An Other Cup' sounds like it could have been recorded around the time of 'Matthew & Son', 'Tea For The Tillerman' or any of the 60 million records that he's sold. While the freshness of the strings can be attributed to producer Rick Nowels (who has worked with Dido) Yusuf himself sounds reborn.
