DUBLIN gardai are investigating the possible link between the deaths of six people and contaminated heroin, after the deaths of four heroin addicts at the Mater hospital, one at Beaumont and another at St Vincent's hospital.
Post-mortems have been carried out but gardai are still awaiting toxicology reports. One of the victims has been identified as a 36-year-old man who collapsed at his home at Railway Street in Dublin. Gardai believe there may be a consignment of contaminated heroin being sold on the streets of Dublin and have urged any addicts who are feeling unwell to seek treatment.
