THE Irish singles chart is so small that if you and all your cousins bought the same song you could probably force a top-10 entry.
According to HMV Grafton Street manager Sean Pritchard, sales of Declan O'Rourke's 'Christmas Wine' are strong but that he "might struggle to maintain that. Other tracks to look out for are 'Naked Camera' star Jake Stevens' 'Merry Christmas Jakey Boy' and the bloody Crazy Frog's version of 'Last Christmas' by Wham!
Albums-wise, Damien Rice is shifting big units on the back of TV advertising, according to distributor RMG Chart. Some surprise has been the continued strength of 'The Cake Sale', the profits of which go to Oxfam Ireland.
However, the No 1 album in Ireland this Christmas is still likely to go to Westlife, U2 or Il Divo.
