Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has offered to help new Dunfermline boss Stephen Kenny settle into Scottish football. The Dubliner made an instant impact in the Bank of Scotland Premier League after arriving from Derry City last month, inspiring the Pars to a 2-1 victory Dundee United in his first game in charge.
However, the Fifers have subsequently lost 3-0 to Aberdeen and 5-1 at Kilmarnock to drift five points from safety at the foot of the table.
But, ahead of the trip to East End Park today, Strachan said: "I don't really know much about Stephen but we welcome everybody here.
"He understands my job and I understands his. It will be nice to meet him. I'm sure we will have time to get together and, if he needs any information about this league, then I am sure I can give him some help.
"It has not been an easy season for Dunfermline. They had a very bad start and a lot of injuries. If you have four or five good players and lose three of them, then you are going to have a problem."
