Some retail experts (see main piece) think use of the card will grow as people use cash gifts to purchase credit to enable them to buy gifts at sites such as play. com and komplett. ie. The card is used by people who don't have a traditional credit card that would allow them to buy online. Also, the 3V can be used by people over 16. The only drawback is that consumers can't purchase it for others: it has to be acquired by the user so fraud is avoided.
