Pacemakers' drummer dies



FRED MARSDEN, drummer in the 1960s group Gerry and The Pacemakers, has died aged 66.

The Pacemakers were contemporaries of The Beatles, and shared Brian Epstein as their manager.

Led by Fred's brother Gerry, the band were best known for the hits 'You'll Never Walk Alone', 'I Like It' and 'Ferry Cross the Mersey'.
