AIB LEAGUE DIVISION ONE LANSDOWNE 17 GALWEGIANS 16 Lansdowne Road
A PENALTY in the sixth minute of injury-time from Robbie Dolan saw Lansdowne secure the points yesterday. The two teams had traded penalties when Galwegian's front row, Ross Davies, was sent off after head-butting a player with three minutes to go in the opening half.
A well worked move saw saw Lansdowne's Clem Casey score in the corner on 54 minutes with Galwegians centre, Anthony Barrett, intercepting soon afterwards to score under the posts. Nick Wakely made it 16-14 in Galwegians favour before Dolan's late effort.
