FORMER Glasgow Celtic football club manager Martin O'Neill sold all of his 1.6m convertable preferred ordinary shares at 100 pence, Celtic plc said on Friday in a stock exchange release.
O'Neill had held 8.88% of that class of shares and now has no interest in the company significant enough to warrant notification to the stock exchange. O'Neill left Celtic last year.
In a separate release, Celtic said that Telstar Holdings, which is owned by Denis O'Brien, purchased 1.6m convertable preferred ordinary shares at 100 pence each.
O'Brien already owned 800,000 shares of the same class. He now owns 2.4m shares of that class, or 13.32%. In addition, O'Brien is the beneficial owner of 500,000 ordinary Celtic shares.
