PLASMON, a British data storage manufacturer, said last week it is evaluating options for the future of its wholly-owned Raidtec facility in Cork. Plasmon acquired the operation in 2004 for Euro2.25m in cash and assumed Euro2.86 in debt.
Announcing its interim results last week, the firm said that core technology acquired at the time has now been "integrated into our US and UK development organisations". It added that the "remaining activities in Ireland do not provide core technology for the group and we are currently evaluating future options for this business".
