THE all-new look for the Ford S-Max's baby brother is on the way.
The C-Max has more of the S-Max styling with a new bonnet and grille, a deep air intake and triangular S-Max style headlights with new highintensity bulbs.
At the rear, out goes the word 'Focus' with C-Max taking pride of place, while LED tail-lights are the order of the day.
There will be lots of options for the revised model, including a panoramic glass sunroof and 18" alloy wheels, the same as the new Mondeo.
Inside, the C-Max will be more people-carrier friendly with auxiliary connection for iPods, new storage in doors, new centre console and altered instrument panel. Seats are redesigned but the five-seat sliding rear design is retained.
The under-side engineering remains unchanged because of its proven success, with three petrol and two diesel options, and three trim levels.
Standard equipment will include airconditioning and all electric windows.
The C-Max was shown for the first time at a small Italian motor show in Bologna and will be in the showrooms by early May, picking up important sales before the holiday slow-down.
Prices are expected to be kept as close to current C-Max levels as possible because of the fierce competition in the MPV market at this level.
