CARDIFF HAVE 'NOTHING TO LOSE' IN CUP SHOWDOWN WITH SPURS

Cardiff captain Darren Purse (above) began the mind games ahead of today's FA Cup third round meeting with Tottenham by claiming the Barclays Premiership side were expected to win.

The eight-time winners head to Ninian Park looking to avoid an upset against the Coca-Cola Championship promotion chasers.

And with Cardiff having not won in 10 matches - their last victory coming at home to Burnley on November 11 - Purse believes they have nothing to lose.

"There's no pressure on us at all. All the expectation will be on them - they have to come down here to play. It's a big game and it's probably the best draw we could have had. We wanted a big game and now we've got a big team to pit our wits against, " he said.
