MALEV, the Hungarian flag airline, no longer counts among hopeful bidders an Irish investor consortium that includes Aer Lingus chairman and AIB chief exec Tom Mulcahy.
The group failed to be included on a shortlist released by the Hungarian government. It said on Friday that it has selected two potential suitors:
AirBridge Magyarorszag, controlled by Boris Abramovich, owner of Russian airline KrassAir, and LAL investiciju valdymas, the investment vehicle of Lithuania's national carrier.
The former is believed to have offered $150m, and the latter is reported to have bid $120m.
