Post-mortem on mystery fire couple

POST-mortems were due to be carried out yesterday on the bodies of a married couple who died in a fire at their Dublin home.

The remains of Joe and Sheila Power were discovered at their house in Glenvara park, Knocklyon, on Friday. GardaĆ are not treating the incident as suspicious. There was no obvious external sign of fire damage to their home and the blaze was reportedly limited to one room. Joe Power was a retired taxi driver in his 60s who took care of his wheelchair-bound wife, who was in her 50s. The couple had two grown-up children and had been living in the area for over 20 years.
