UNSEEDED SAFAROVA SHOCKS HENIN TO REACH FINAL OF PARIS OPEN



Lucie Safarova stunned world number two Justine Henin yesterday to reach the final of the Paris Open.

The unseeded Czech, ranked 32nd in the world, fought back from a break down in both sets to win 7-6 (7-5) 6-4. Henin was playing her first event of 2007 after splitting from husband Pierre-Yves Hardenne.

Safarova (20) will try to win her third WTA title when she plays the winner of yesterday's second semi between Amelie Mauresmo and Nadia Petrova.
