Ballina's Ridgepool hotel for sale with apartments

ONE of Ballina's best-known town-centre properties, the Ridgepool Hotel, is for sale with an asking price of Euro10m.

Situated on the famous river Moy, the hotel's wellappointed accommodation includes 72 en-suite bedrooms, nine self-contained apartments, meeting rooms, a spacious function room, traditional bar and the 80-seater Paprika restaurant.

There are 32 car-parking spaces. The Ridgepool Hotel and Leisure Centre is a modern FA ilte Ireland hotel with views of the river from most bedrooms.

The Co Mayo town's reputation as a thriving commercial centre is expected to enhance the property's selling potential. Ballina is the county's largest town and an important regional centre for the north Mayo/south Sligo region with a catchment population in excess of 40,000 people.

Ballina is also the principal town of the Moy Valley tourism area with its worldfamous fishing on the river Moy. Also convenient to the town are renowned golf links at Enniscrone, which also has a Blue Flag beach.

Ballina also hosts the popular annual Street Festival and Arts Week, which attracts huge numbers of visitors to the area each year.

The property has an attractive decking area overlooking the river which is popular with hotel guests and bar visitors.

The Ridgepool has established itself as a popular venue for locals, tourists and commercial business, which is boosted significantly during the summer months and busy fishing season.

"The hotel was built as part of a complex about seven years ago and that's how the apartments come to be included with the property, " says John Hughes from selling agents CB Richard Ellis.

"The property is being sold on behalf of the Dunne Group Hotels who are concentrating on their other hotel interests in Galway, Limerick, Clare and Waterford."

For further information, contact John Hughes or Paul Collins at CB Richard Ellis, 01-618 5500.
