Feedback
Neil Dunphy

Love not all you need Last week was a bad one for EMI, as the world's third largest record company delivered a second profit warning in just over a month with sales of Robbie Williams' (right) and the Beatles' Love album failing to match expectations. Shares have fallen below the level Warner bid for them last summer, but with regulatory issues still marginalising Warner, private equity groups are circling. Even strong Norah Jones's sales didn't help as CD purchases continue to fall. At home, Balcony TV was removed from YouTube (see Business).

Diva behaviour of the week Red Hot Chilli Peppers order a 'meditation tent' for backstage at the Brits Greatest false alarm The New York Post reported Mariah Carey recently bought an economy ticket for a flight to Tennessee. Then purchased every other seat and flew alone.

Single of the week 'North American Scum' by LCD Soundsystem New York hipster James Murphy returns with a stomping new single from forthcoming album Sound Of Silver.

Podcast of the week Remedy If you are unfortunate enough not to be able to make it to any of Remedy's DJ, house and/or drum'n'bass nights (usually in Temple bar Music Centre) fear not because the gigs are being serialised from now on. The first is an hour set from French DJ, The Hacker.
