SMITHFIELD just got itself one heck of an impressive health club. 1escape is 28,500sq ft of innovation, including Ireland's first high-altitude training chamber, a 'Power Plate' (as used by Madonna) which vibrates to produce a stretch reflex; an aqua cycling programme and the Leanmotion Weight Loss Programme that combines toning, strength training, cardiovascular training, abdominals and Pilates in one workout.
The clean design is meant to be conducive to a great workout and unlike most other gyms, members don't have to sign a 12-month contract but can cancel their membership by giving three months' notice.
