WITH over 200,000 Poles living in Ireland it's surprising we aren't more familiar with their cuisine. Curious Irish foodies have strayed into the new breed of Polish shops popping up around towns, and rave about the exquisite breads and smoky sausages.
Those of you not living near specialist shops can now pick up a Polish product at your local Tesco. By April, 46 stores will be stocking a selection of over 60 Polish lines, ranging from Bison Vodka Zubrowka, Zywiec and Tyskie beers and Kubus carrot juice to Winiary red borsch and Krakus sauerkraut. The equivalent of being able to buy Lyons tea and Tayto in Melbourne, this is great news for anyone with an interest in food.
