THOMOND'S LAST STAND COULD YET BE
CRESCENT v PBC

The Crescent versus PBC Cork Munster Schools Senior Cup semi"nal could yet be played at Thomond Park. It appears that the task of dealing with objections to the redevelopment have prevented bulldozers from getting on site.

Indeed, the schools game could well be the last match played at the stadium.

MID-TERM BREAK HITS CLONGOWES SUPPORT BASE

It must have been an eerie experience. The Clongowes Wood squad stayed in school last weekend as the rest of the students returned home for the mid-term break. It also meant there were just one quarter of the 450 student population in attendance at the quarter-final replay against St Mary's.

CBC SET TO PREPARE WITH CLUB FIXTURE AGAINST LOCAL SIDE

The two Leinster Schools replays are having their effect in Munster.

CBC Cork would normally look for an attractive friendly against the likes Blackrock, Clongowes Wood or Belvedere to hone their game this weekend in preparation for their semi-"nal showdown with St Munchin's on 6 March. Instead, they could go down the club route at Cork Constitution or UCC.

INJURY TO BURKE LEAVES IRELAND STAR LOOKING AT THE CLOCK

It will take a miracle for Crescent's Ireland Schools outhalf Andrew Burke to make the Munster semi-final. He has been put into plaster for four weeks following a slight separation of the ankle joint. The plaster is due to come off two days before the semi-final.
