The first versions of the eagerly awaited model will begin to arrive next month.

There will be two models in the Roadster range beginning with a two-litre TFSI 200bhp version with a six-speed manual transmission, which has a price tag of 54,340.

A second version of this model with S-Tronic transmission will also be available priced at 57,170.

There will also be a 3.2-litre 250bhp six-speed quattro version at 66,040, which will be followed by a top-of-the-range S-Tronic quattro option priced at 68,870.

Standard equipment on the new models will include an electric folding roof which opens in 12 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50km/h.

Other features include leather/Alcantara upholstery, 17inch alloy wheels, climate control, concert radio reception, rollover bar, windblocker and four airbags.
