Wyckham Point, Dublin 16: from Euro400,000 - High Point of technology
Brenda McNally

LIFESTYLE, luxury, location. Wyckham Point, the new Euro300m apartment scheme that has been turning heads in Dundrum, Dublin 16, has it all. This week, one of the most hotly talked about developments on the southside was finally launched on the market. Built by O'Malley Construction and Dorville Homes, the first 50 units, comprised of one-, two- and three-bed apartments, have been released to the market by joint selling agents Sherry Fitzgerald New Homes and Hooke & MacDonald.

Close to Dundrum Town Centre and the Luas, considerable thought and effort has gone into the design and layout at Wyckham Point, which is made up of three apartment blocks of between four and eight storeys. The development is of a very high spec and boasts numerous special features as standard as well as a 24-hour concierge service. The units are also larger than average with most two-beds averaging 74sq m84sq m (800sq ft-900sq ft) and three-bed units averaging 95sq m-135sq m (1,020sq ft-1,450sq ft) The kitchens are contemporary with oak veneer doors, stainless steel handles and extractor fan, polished stone worktops with stainless steel sink, ceramic tiles to walls and floor, kitchen appliances as standard include oven, microwave, built-in ceramic hob, fully integrated fridge freezer and dishwasher.

Bathroom and en-suites are Italian design with fully tiled walls and floors, white suites with chrome fittings, mirror, shelving, storage cupboard, downlighters, shower screens and underfloor heating. Apartment living rooms will also be wired for Home Cinema Surround Sound and for plasma TV.

The living room and all bedrooms will be wired for internet access and will have a TV point. There is gas-fired central heating and a video intercom door entry system.

The on-site facilities are a major feature of the development. As well as being within easy reach of a range of amenities in Dundrum, Wyckham Point will have a state-of-the-art leisure centre complete with gymnasium, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and relaxation room overlooking three acres of parkland with ornamental lake and lush landscaping.
