SHE'S done Versace and Calvin Klein. She's done heroin chic and cocaine. But tomorrow, Kate Moss will do something she's never done in public before: words.
The world's most famous model has refused all print interview requests since bursting onto the scene at the age of 15 with the Face magazine cover that kicked off the now infamous 'heroin chic' look and her own stellar career.
Now 33, and after appearing on the covers of more than 300 magazines, the supermodel from south London has finally granted her first ever print interview to one of them.
The interview, in Vogue, deals with everything from Moss's high-profile relationships, to scuffles with the paparazzi and the inspiration behind her imminent clothing line for Topshop - one of the most feverishly anticipated high-street collections of all time. It also features the first pictures of the 80-piece range.
In the article, which hits news stands tomorrow morning, Moss says she is resigned to a paparazzi-riddled life, which regularly sees convoys of vans following her every move. She recalls one incident in New York where a female paparazzo fell over a fire hydrant, pushing a whole tooth through her lip.
"I leant over her saying, 'Are you alright?' and she was still taking pictures. I was like, 'You know what? You are sick in the head.'" Moss also reveals that police are considering serving Asbos on the troublesome photographers staking out her home.
The article also has telling comments from Moss's inner circle - including their opinions of her relationship with Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty. Fran Cutler, who has known Moss for 15 years, says:
"I'd like her to settle down with the right guy. You want your friends to find the right man? not that Pete isn't nice."
