IRISH light welterweight title holder Oisin Fagan is convinced that he did enough to win against ex-world champion Paul Spadafora in Michigan in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Unbeaten Spadafora (31), nicknamed the 'Pittsburgh Kid' was handed a 91-98, 93-97, 96-95 split decision against 'Gael Force' after the end of ten rounds at the Soaring Eagle Casino.
But Dublin-born Fagan (33), who works as a school teacher in Oklahoma, reckoned some of the judges got it very wrong.
He said: "Most of the crowd thought I won and there was booing at ringside when the result was announced and I am very very disappointed and frustrated to be honest. Spadafora is a great "ghter there is no doubt about that and it was a hard ten rounds but I gave better than I got in there."
