Ibrahim Ferrer Mi Sueo World Circuit . . . .
This album, completed after Ibrahim Ferrer's death in 2005, has the singer made famous by Buena Vista Social Club backed by a small band featuring Buena Vista guitarist Manuel Galban and bassist Cachaito Lopez, at sessions led by pianist Roberto Fonseca. It's effortlessly engaging, baked to perfection under a tropical sun.
Strings and harp lend a courtly manner to 'Quiereme Mucho', clarinets add odd klezmer/ lounge flavours to other tracks, but it's Ferrer's languid intimacy that's the main attraction.
