IT FIGURES?

17,500 THE amount, in euro, that a German belly dancer was awarded in compensation after a plastic surgeon accidentally sucked away one of her buttocks. Julia 'Cleopatra' Meyer (38) wanted slimmer thighs and instead ended up with half her bottom missing. A Munich court heard that, during the liposuction, an unnamed plastic surgeon from a private clinic had removed fat from her right buttock instead of her thighs.

3THE number of pigs that have earned a reprieve after they were ditched from a children's show to avoid offending Muslims.

Organisers of the Kirklees Primary Music Festival had changed the traditional tale to 'Three Little Puppies' but local councillors reversed the decision which they deemed "well-intentioned but wrong". Children from the Huddersfield school will now go ahead with Roald Dahl's version of Little Red Riding Hood.

3THE number of abandoned tiger cubs being nursed by a pig at Chimelong Xiangjiang Safari Park, in Guangzhou City, after the three young Bengal tigers were rejected by their mother. A zoo official said: "We thought, since this is the Chinese Year of the Pig, why don't we find a pig to nurse the hungry babies." The zoo bought a sow who had just given birth and brought her to the zoo with her piglets. "The tigers are tamely sucking the milk, and the sow accepts her three new sons."
