Beech Park, Leixlip, Co Kildare: from Euro250,000 - Apartment life's a beech

FOLLOWING the successful launch last year of two-, three- and four-bed houses at Beech Park in Leixlip, Co Kildare, Durkan New Homes have just released 18 one- and two-bed apartments, off plan, on the same site.

Located on Easton Road just outside Leixlip town, Beech Park is a short walk from shops, banks, restaurants and schools and the development has a regular bus service to the city centre, about 15km away.

The area also has a strong rental market with large employers like Intel and Hewlett Packard nearby.

Leixlip is within easy driving distance of Maynooth and Celbridge, while the Liffey Valley shopping centre is also a short drive away.

Work is well underway and apartments here are due to be ready from late August .

The apartment building, designed by architects McCrossan O'Rourke Manning, is finished in a mix of brick and terracotta render.

One-beds have a floor area of 45sq m (484sq ft) and include a small hall, living/dining/kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom.

Two-beds are quite spacious ranging from 68-75sq m (700807sq ft). All two-beds include an en suite with the main bedroom.

Standard features include double-glazed hardwood windows, gas central heating, Nolan kitchens, contemporary sanitary ware and fully tiled bathrooms and en suites.

A small number of houses are also still available at Beech Park.
