Kilronan Castle, Co Roscommon: from Euro319,000

FOLLOWING the sellout of the first phase of Kilronan Castle earlier this year, Hanly Homes has launched a second phase of three- and four-bed houses. On the banks of Lough Meelagh at Ballyfarnon in Co Roscommon, Kilronan Castle will comprise 60 townhouses.

Originally built in the early 1800s, Kilronan Castle is currently being converted into an upmarket 81-bed hotel with wedding chapel and conference facilities.

The estate will also incorporate a nine-hole Nick Faldodesigned golf course, along with a custom-built spa and wellness centre, and landscaped gardens which have been designed by Diarmuid Gavin. A popular tourist spot, particularly with anglers, Kilronan is close to Lough Allen.

Houses here are laid out in small terraces and range in size from 106sq m to 121sq m (1,141sq ft to 1,300sq ft).

Accommodation includes a living room, fitted kitchen, guest wc, bedrooms, bathroom and en-suites.

According to the selling agents, homes here are suitable for both owner-occupiers and investors/holiday home owners.

Price: three and four-beds from Euro319,000 to Euro369,000 Agent: Savills Hamilton Osborne King 01-618 1390 & Property Team Smith Kelly Scott 071-966 2124
