Luxury from tee to green
June Edwards

NEW to the market this weekend are 24 large detached homes at the upmarket Druids Glen Golf and Country Club in Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow.

A 400-acre estate, Druids Glen is one of the most renowned golf resorts in Europe, incorporating two golf courses and clubhouses, a five-star Marriott Hotel, leisure centre, health and fitness spa and wildlife reserve.

Which is why a home here will set you back somewhere between 1.8 and 2.1m.

About 25 miles south of Dublin city, Druids Glen is close to the N11 and Kilcoole village, while the Dart station at Greystones is a 10-minute drive away.

Developed by McInerney Homes, houses here come in three styles and have either four or five bedrooms. Fourbeds are very spacious and range in size from 239sq m to 290sq m (2,573sq ft to 3,121sq ft). The smaller fourbed has a large eat-in kitchen, completely fitted and equipped, with steps leading down to a family room with a fireplace. There is also a separate formal dining room, and a large living room, while upstairs there are four double rooms, all with en-suite.

The larger houses have similar accommodation with slightly different layout and all homes have double garages to the side.

Finished to a high standard, all homes come with underfloor gas heating, custommade kitchens with Siemens integrated appliances, central vacuum system, marble fireplaces, painted hardwood windows and doors, Azzurra Ceramina sanitary ware, and Smarthome technology.

Outside these homes are just as impressive as inside, and each sits on a site of between a quarter and a half acre. Features include cobblelock driveways, fitted decks, outdoor lighting front and back, and landscaped gardens, and all homes have views of either Druids Glen or the golf course. Two show units are open for viewing.
