IRISH-owned property development company Galdevar has agreed an 80m deal to deal develop a key retail site in the south of Spain.
The company, which was founded in 1997 by architect Gavin Gallagher, will be entering into the deal with major Pontegadea, owners of clothes retailers Zara, and business hotel group Sotogrande.
The commercial property is to be called Blue Sotogrande and will comprise of 41 waterfront retail units that will "overlook the marina", according to the company.
Fashion boutiques and a range of "cosmopolitan" bars and restaurants are being planned as part of the project.
