DJ Carey at a loss

THE company of Kilkenny hurling legend DJ Carey continued to make trading losses for the year ending 2006 amounting to 81, 914. Carey Enterprises Limited's losses were up by 12,650 from 69,264 on the previous year, according to the latest accounts filed with the CRO.

The company directors are named as DJ and Catriona Carey who paid themselves a remuneration of 30,560, a decrease of 1,608 on 2005.

The company is part of Carey Investments Limited, which purchased the share capital of the company in January of last year.

The accounts stated that future viability will depend on the "continued support of the parent company".
