Andy Murray admits his straight-sets victory over Paul Goldstein in the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami helped him shake off some of the rust from his previous Stateside outing.
The 19-year-old British number one has seen little action since losing in the semi-finals of the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells last week to Serbia's Novak Djokovic. He twisted his ankle in his quarter-final victory over Germany's Tommy Haas, but he was still able to overcome Goldstein 6-2 7-6 (7-4) despite his injury problems and relatively lengthy break to book a thirdround clash with American Robert Kendrick.
"I was pretty out of breath, to be honest, " he said. "I was pretty tired. You know, I only hit about two and a half hours over the last six days, and the conditions here are completely different to Indian Wells."
