The Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Luna Park all went dark along with about 65,000 households and 2,000 businesses committed to joining Earth Hour, which is part of an effort to cut the city's greenhouse gas emissions by 5% in the next 12 months. Earth Hour was organised by WWF Australia.
