Four die in Japan chopper crash



A TRANSPORT helicopter from Japan's Self-Defence Force crashed in the country's south, leaving four people feared dead, a defence official said yesterday.

The CH-47 chopper, which was on its way to pick up a critically ill patient on the southern island of Tokunoshima, crashed into a mountain.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
