The Pakistan Cricket Board have reacted to the team's shock elimination from the World Cup by suspending the players' central contracts.
PCB chairman Dr Naseem Ashraf revealed that the existing contracts system will be replaced by performance-based deals for future series and competitions.
"That time in Pakistan cricket is now over when Pakistan players play for themselves, " Ashraf said. "No player will dictate any terms on 'I will play this tournament and not that'.
"A new contract system will be put in place within the next 90 days and they will be based on performance."
