TALLAGHT GETS FRAGRANT

LEADING UK fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop has expanded its Irish base having acquired two new outlets for leases running close to 200, 000 a year. The shops, which are set to trade as Perfume Direct, are both to be located in Dublin, one in Liffey Valley shopping centre and the other at The Square shopping centre Tallaght.

The 452sq ft (42sq m) unit in Tallaght has been acquired on a 21-year lease from a consortium of private investors with an annual rent of 85, 000.

Meanwhile the Liffey Valley outlet, which runs to 336sq ft (31sq m) will be leased from international property group Grosvenor for five years at 110.150 per annum.

The two new acquisitions bring the total number of Perfume Direct stores trading in Ireland to 10.

The news was announced in the UK by The Perfume Shop's property advisors, Harper Dennis Hobbs.
