Get your motor running down to Ennis town

THE former Western Garages site in Ennis town centre is for sale by public auction and is expected to fetch in the region of 4.5m. The 0.18 hectares site at Mill Road is zoned town centre and is ideally location for a mixed residential and commercial development, selling agent Philip Murphy of Property Plus claims.

"The commercial market is vibrant in Ennis right now and there aren't many sites coming to market with town-centre zoning. We've already had enquiries from high-profile builders and developers and most of them are looking at the options for a retail/residential mix. It's a high-profile location."

The garage/warehouse has 38 metres of frontage onto Mill Road and 34 metres of frontage onto Considine Terrace. There are 10 car-parking spaces at the front of the twostorey building and an extensive concrete yard to the rear.

"The zoning allows for a high-density residential and commercial development up to six storeys in height, " says Murphy. "There's a residential unit adjoining the building and there's an apartment complex directly opposite. It's likely you'll have some kind of retail element on the ground floor with residential units overhead."

The property is for sale by public auction on 20 April.
