LUCKY STAR FASHION design in Ireland is never an easy career path but Athlone native Deirdre Brennan from LSAD must be thanking her lucky stars this week having become Nokia Young Fashion Designer of the year 2007. Her collection, 'Hideous Kinky', was the clear winner at the competition, judged by designers Pauric Sweeney, Jonathan Saunders and Leigh Tucker.
SOUL TO SOLE LADIES of Naas are about to witness the opening of the latest Soul shoe shop to your lofty environs. With shoe labels including Eileen Shields (see those fab gold shoes pictured above), Pedro Garcia and Sonia Rykiel, Soul also features some trendy luggage pieces from Orla Kiely as well as basic separates from clothing lines such as Jackpot.
