Students of Ireland get ready to rock the vote
�WHAT'S THE STORY?
Tomorrow sees the start of the Rock The Vote campaign, in which musicians whom many people have never heard of will travel the country urging people to vote for politicians whom many people have never heard of. The campaign will stop at every major third-level institution over the next week and lollipops and t-shirts will be dispensed to raise interest in the campaign's message.
� WHAT ARE THEY SAYING?
"Good craic for a good cause" - Rock The Vote slogan.
"We're really excited about getting the message out to people at a grassroots level, " says Rock The Vote's executive director, Patrick Cosgrave. "It should also be interesting to see these established acts hit the streets."
The acts include Tadhg Cooke, Bill Coleman, Ilya K and AllStar Charge.
� WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Dundalk is the first stop on the Rock The Vote tour tomorrow morning and will be followed as the week goes on by Letterkenny, Donegal town, Sligo, Galway, Athlone, Ennis, Limerick, Tralee, Cork, Portlaoise and Waterford. All concerts will be free.
Small screen heroes hit the red carpet
�WHAT'S THE STORY?The red carpet is being dry-cleaned again in advance of next Friday's Bafta awards, when the stars of British television will battle it out to be crowned the kings and queens of the small screen. The annual ceremony rewards the best performances in TV comedy, drama, light entertainment and music.
� WHAT ARE THEY SAYING?
Longford, the superb C4 drama about the prison reformer's battle to release Myra Hindley from jail, should surely win something, having grabbed the most nominations (four), with Jim Broadbent, Andy Serkis and Samantha Morton all in contention for acting awards. And the smash-hit series Life On Mars is also a front-runner for both the best actor (John Simm) and best drama gongs. Ant and Dec are up for best entertainment performance for Saturday Night Takeawa y (ITV1), against Jonathan Ross for his Friday-night chat show (BBC1), Paul Merton for Have I Got News for Your (BBC1) and Stephen Fry for Ol (BBC2.)
� WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Blood on the red carpet as previous conominees Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant go head to head in the comedy performance category for Extras, having been nominated jointly four times for their writing. Gervais is up for the TV gong for his role as struggling actor-turned-sitcom star Andy Millman, while Merchant is in the running for his turn as incompetent agent Darren Lamb. Overall, Channel 4 has 20 nominations, followed by 18 for BBC1, 14 for BBC2, 13 for ITV1, two for Channel Five and three for Sky One.
Londoners hope to hop into the record books

For some unknown reason, thousands of people in London will today attempt to enter the Guinness Book Of Records for the biggest ever simultaneous Space Hopper bounce. If you happen to be in the area at around 10am, you're invited to join in.
You're guaranteed to be part of a record achievement, as a simultaneous Space Hopper bounce has never been done before.

If you can't be there, tune into Sky News. On a quiet Sunday morning, they could well be broadcasting the event live.
