Clermont Auvergne booked their place in the European Challenge Cup final with a comprehensive 46-29 win over Newport Gwent Dragons. The French outfit stormed past a resolute Dragons side, who briefly threatened a comeback, before easing through the semi-final tie.
It is the third time Clermont, who were formally known as Montferrand, have made the Shield final.
They will play either Saracens or Bath next month.
